Over the past year, branch stores have been created in Citrus Heights. The proud parents of the hydrogarden offspring met while working at Boreal Ski Resort. Living together at Lake Tahoe, where snow rules and outdoor gardening is confined to two months a year, they looked into home hydrogardening. They realized that they could come home after a day of working or skiing, with gloomy winter weather outside, and have fresh veggies waiting to be picked for dinner. They bought hydrogarden equipment and quickly discovered how easy it was to get quality results. The absence of a hydrogarden supply store in western Nevada County presented them with an opportunity to have their own business. The idea of working in Grass Valley appealed and soon after they opened their business the couple became local residents. As well as hydrogarden supplies, the stores sell outdoor fertilizers, greenhouse supplies, and aquarium equipment.
